Guest Post: Ideas for Wrapping Your Homemade Goodies

by Kelly on December 18, 2010

Are you cooking up any gifts this year? Well, my name is Charissa, and I write about creative gift wrapping over at The Gifted Blog. I don’t have any killer recipes to share (I’ll leave that to Kelly), but I’d love to offer some suggestions for wrapping up your homemade goodies! Here are 6 simple ways to prepare treats from your kitchen for holiday giving:

1. DIY cupcake liner jar covers at Martha Stewart.

2. Sweet bread pennant by Morning By Foley (it’s in French, but look for the link below her post to download your own!). Love the simplicity of the pennant paired with parchment paper and raffia.

3. “Drink Me” gift tags by Shauna Younge for Nonpareil Magazine. It would be fun to use these on a homemade hot cocoa mix or herb-infused simple syrup!

4. North Wood Blanket Co.’s wine gift bags for your favorite wine aficionado (or make your own like this!).

5. Cheerful gift wrapping idea for cookies at The Purl Bee.

6. Finally, a free printable gift tag for your jarred delicacies. This picture has marinara, but it would be super cute on a jar of preserves, fudge sauce, or granola.

Oh man. My sweet tooth is calling! I hope this list will give you some inspiration for turning your kitchen’s delicacies into gifts. (And if you need more gift wrapping ideas, please visit me at The Gifted Blog!)

Thank you for this informative guest post, Charissa! You always find great recipes on blogs but few ideas how to package them! I am in love with the wine blankets, even though I don’t drink. They are just to adorable!

@sophia – Thank you for the sweet feedback! This is such a different audience for me so especially I appreciate the kind words.

@The Duo Dishes & Carolyn Jung – Leave it to the crafty minds Martha Stewart to think of something so cute. Love how it uses something you’d probably have in the back of your cupboard anyway!

@Shannon – Aw, don’t fret! Most of these are actually not specific to the holidays at all. Feel free to use whenever!
